Today’s Children are Destined to Die Early (Part 1)

Research is now showing that the children of today will live less years than their parents.  The reasons are multiple.  One of the main reasons is diet. Children of today’s main sources of protein are : fried chicken, beef, fried potatoes, cheeses, pizza, and milk shakes.  Their carbohydrate sources are: pasta (especially packaged macaroni and cheese), sodas, sugar desserts, syrup, jams, breakfast pastries, potato chips and other salt/sugar loaded snacks.  Most of these foods lack the necessary vitamins, calcium, fiber and other nutrients necessary for healthy growth, and are high in salt and sugar.  An alarming new study showed that in 7 out of 10 toddler processed dinners, these dinners contained too much salt.  Another recent study noted that children ages 2-5 are seriously overweight and obese.  Today’s children are showing elevated blood pressure at an early age.  These children that are  eating foods high in salt and sugar are destined for high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease.  What do you do?  The secret is to stay away from packaged food. Package food are easy but dangerous.  Shop on the outer aisle of the supermarket.  You as a parent need to decide how much work on your part is your children’s health worth.  Also stay away as much as possible from fast food restaurants.  Not one fast food restaurant is advertising how healthy their food is.  Instead they advertise how much fun it is to eat at their restaurant or how cool it is to eat there.  None of these restaurants have your children’s welfare in mind.  That is your job as a parent.  Allowing your children to eat only processed food and fast food will lead to an early death.
